Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Hope your Halloween season’s off to a great start, and we can’t wait for you to join us for our epic Halloween finale next week, 10/20/16! Fun reviews, favorite characters return, and we reveal our plans for next season’s storyline that’s sure to get a lot of you falling out of your seat with excitement!
But focusing on the now, it’s time for another Tribute video and given we did a big one on Bruce “King of the B” Campbell last Halloween, we thought we’d turn to our favorite Queen of Scream this time, Linnea Quigley! Apocalyptic soldier, cemetery dancing punk, fitness instructor, nerd turned succubus, demonic cutie, chainsaw prancing hero, she’s played it all and continues to entertain us today with an ever growing list of credits. While most will always remember her for her iconic role as a naked zombie in Return of the Living Dead, our favorite Linnea role is still Spider from Sorority Babes at the Slime Bowl-O-Rama. She didn’t show any skin in that flick, but we always felt that was her coolest character who was tough, fun, and endearing. Anyway, check the video we put together below and bask in her talents!
Other than that, be sure to catch up on Screaming Soup! Seasons 1-2 after watching the latest Season 3 episodes, check out this week’s Howl’n Hottie, read recent reviews for the newer horror films we’re watching in our R-Rated Reviews blog, and help us get the word out about the web’s #1 animated horror host show! Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Woo-doggy, have you got it made this week with a double scoop of goodies! Not only are we premiering another tribute video for your horrific pleasure, but you also get some more animated mayhem as we make a guest appearance on Grim Reaper’s “Your Final Answer!”
Tackling the first tribute video to follow the Bruce Campbell shout-out we put together last Halloween, we realized these vids didn’t have to be spotlighting horror celebrities every time and could be about anything we think deserved attention. Jump scares, screams, rubber bats, whatever! With that said, we skipped purchasing someone’s entire film career for creating the coolest montage of their life in movies, and decided to celebrate werewolf transformations instead. Yessir, we went through our whole collection of monster movies and pieced together every super morphing, hair sprouting, gore-tastic scene of man becoming beats we could find and pieced it all together in one Ramones jamming vid. You can check it out below and if you want to know where the clips came from, you can check out the movies on the vid’s page HERE.
In other news, Grim Reaper asked us to stop by and make another legendary appearance on his show “Your Final Answer,” and we hopefully don’t disappoint. That guest spot can also be seen below, and be sure to visit Reaper’s website (paradeofhorrorables.com), and subscribe to his Youtube page!!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks and Happy Halloween! This has been one crazy month with our first attempt at publishing daily videos and blogs to celebrate the premier of Bruce Campbell’s “Ash VS Evil Dead” on Starz Halloween night, but we feel it was worth it. Some dedicated Bruce Campbell fans got to enjoy the highlights of his career everyday this month, we made some people laugh, and even got a positive tweet from the King himself saying, “Let’s do this,” when tagging him in our promo for dedicating this Halloween to the King of B. Then there’s the daily pumpkin spice blog, this year’s Halloween Eeeh!-Card, the season 2 finale with the Ghouligans, etc., etc.
But now Halloween is here, and we’re just chilling. Sure, we’re still wrapping up production for Screaming Soup! Season 3 (premiering 1/20/16), drawing up more promotional art, editing together special advertising vids, and prepping for Season 4 but we think we can take a breather for the holiday. Yup, we’re just going to attend our favorite annual haunt this time of year, pop open a cold one and watch the Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors marathon on FXX while digging into bowls of candy and plates of bat wings and witch fingers.
Other than that, check out all our Bruce Campbell vids from “Bruce VS” to “Bruce Takes It In The Face”, and the popular “Tribute to Bruce Campbell” vid, learn about everything that now comes in pumpkin spice in “Mandy’s I Can’t Believe They Have Pumpkin,” and send someone special a Halloween Eeeh!-Card this holiday. And of course, play any and all of Screaming Soup! Seasons 1-2 this Halloween, no matter where you are and help get the word out about the web’s #1 animated horror show! Please use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site and follow our tweets, subscribe to our Youtube channel, like our Facebook, watch and share all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming.
So, a happy and safe Halloween to all you Scream Freaks out there. May your costumes be fun and slutty, your parties never be forgotten, and your cars be vomit free by the end of the night. I’ll see ya later, Scream Freaks!
Howdy there, Scream Freaks! October been fun for ya yet? Seen Eli Roth’s Green Inferno or picked up the new Trick ‘r Treat comic? Or more importantly, have you been enjoying our chuckle inducing “Bruce Campbell VS” videos? Better be, because with the excitement building for the premier of the all new Ash VS Evil Dead on the Starz network Halloween night, we’re continuing our celebration of the king of B everyday this month!
When you stop to think about it, what does it take to be the king of B movies? Most of us have this narrow perception of Bruce Campbell’s cult status based solely on his involvement in the Evil Dead franchise, with respectable nods to his others works like Xena: Warrior Princess, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., and Bubba Ho-Tep. but these are just 4 roles he’s played out of 100+ credits!
Bruce was fortunate enough to play more than one memorable character that immortalizes him in comics, action figures, video games, art, and fan favorite countdowns till the end of days, but its the entirety of his diverse work that truly earns him the credit as the king of the B movies. For the last 30 years, he’s played a baby snatching demon, been killed by cyborgs on the moon, fought Napoleon as a 19th century superhero, liberated slaves from alien oppression, battled Angus Scrimm into a meat grinder, raced Herbie the Lovebug to a photo finish . . . the list goes on and on! With Bruce returning to the role that first made him a star, we took it upon ourselves to celebrate his amazing career in movies with this edition of Screaming Tribute!
The video below contains at least one clip from nearly every piece of cinematic work Bruce has performed in. You’ll see shots from his humble Super-8 beginnings all the way to the blockbusters he stars in today. We even included clips from the cartoons and video games he’s humorously voiced as well as commercials he hammed up. We only left out his Coen brother appearances where he was barley seen in the backgrounds, voice over work that didn’t have enough (if any) of his appearance, and only a handful of obscure movies and TV shows that most aren’t even aware of.
Other than that, keep checking back here every day for more “Bruce Campbell VS” and “Mandy’s I Can’t Believe They Have Pumpkin,” and be sure to catch up on all the latest Screaming Soup! episodes so far for season 2 before seeing the season finale 10/20/15 with special guests, the Ghouligans (www.theghouligans.com)! Bruce Campbell filmography included in this tribute:
Howdy there, Scream freaks! Yee-haw! Things are in full force over here! Producing the web’s #1 animated horror show is certainly a full time gig, and has us up at all hours of the day to ensure we deliver our promise of great entertainment.
Like right now, we have not 1 but 3 seasons in the works! We’re currently releasing season 2 a month at a time, animating season 3 for next year, and prepping for season 4. Then there’s the secondary videos we’re finding time in between to keep up with like Re-make Re-mix, Re-Animated Reviews, Graphic Violence, and Tribute videos. Add in the daily task of plugging the show across every conceivable social media and the time needed for creating new original works for promotional material, and this is a true labor of love only crazy people would commit too!
But it’ll be worth it. There’s been the occasional heckler (like 1 out of every 1,500 internet patrons told about the show), but the show’s been validated overall with rising Youtube subscriptions, Facebook likes, and Twitter followers. And we listen to the fans. Boy howdy, do we listen. We were with one fan when he started fast forwarding a little in the show toward the end, and he told us they were doing that because the animated segments had become somewhat predictable by episode 15. That’s when we realized we needed to step up our game and start pushing the envelope regarding the stories and animation. From here on out, you can expect to start seeing some more story archs, new characters, and action sequences that explores more of the Howl-Inn Grub and Spirits. Oh, the show’s going to some exciting places, and we can’t wait to take you Scream Freaks!
For now, you’ll just have to settle for a sneak peek at the newest addition to the cast who will be appearing in the next episode scheduled 7/20/15.
Otherwise, be sure you’re caught up with the rest of Screaming Soup! Season 2, use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site and follow our tweets, subscribe to our Youtube channel, like our Facebook, watch and share all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming.
That’s pretty much it for now, so I’ll see ya’ later Scream Freaks!
Howdy there, Scream Freaks! We’re still on a comic kick after all the fun we had on Free Comic Book Day, so we thought we’d turn our attention to producing an all new Tribute video to spotlight one of our more favorite comic book heroes, Swamp Thing! Before I was formally introduced to the classic line-up of Universal monsters that were the staples of most horror fans’ childhoods, I was exposed to the exciting world of monsters through DC Comics’ Swamp Thing. He seemed to be everywhere when I was knee high to a grasshopper. He had 2 monster bashing movies, thought provoking comics for a more mature audience, a gimmicky toyline, a cartoon full of colorful characters, and a live action TV series which is the focus of our Tribute.
Only one man has dared to wear a thick rubber suit in sweltering Florida heat for hours at a time, and his name is Dick Durock. He was there with Wes Craven in the beginning, the charmingly campy sequel, and the 72 episode long series on the USA Network from 1990-93. While heavily dubbed and hidden behind the image of other actors playing Swamp Thing in his human form, Dick luckily got to shine in the TV series as a leading man and costume stuntman. Despite the series’ rocky start with it being more reminiscent of the Twilight Zone with Swamp Thing acting as host in the peripherals of stories, the series finally figured things out by season 2 and threw Swamp Thing more in the spotlight. Of course a hero is only as good as his arch nemesis and Swamp Thing’s is the mad genius, Anton Arcane. Stiffly portrayed by Louis Jourdan in the movies, Arcane was now a much livelier and thrilling character played by Mark Lindsay Chapman whose performance is unparalleled! We’re normally against seeing the good guy fight the same bad guy again and again, but we can’t get enough of Dick and Mark battling it out every episode. While Dick was in the previous movies, it was his chemistry with Mark in the series that inspired this Tribute video we’re proud to present now. Hope you enjoy!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Free Comic Book Day is mere hours away, and we couldn’t be more excited since one of our favorite passtimes is reading horror comics. We just dig losing ourselves in a good scary read chock full of crazy creepy art that’s as wild and horrific as creators want to be. We especially enjoy franchise related comics that help buffer the dead time between horror powerhouse sequels like Freddy and Jason which seem to take longer and longer to film. We’ve collected and read numerous “Tales From the Crypt,” “Swamp Thing,” “Army of Darkness,” “Hellboy,” and have been recently turned onto other popular long running books like “The Goon.” If you’ve kept up with our Twitter, you’ll see we currently read and give our 2 cents on comics like “Puppet Master,” “The Fly: Outbreak,” “Re-Animator,” and “Big Trouble in Little China” which have all been great revivals of cinematic characters we know and love. This is just a great time to be both a comic and horror fan!
To celebrate comics this month, we will be screaming Tribute to an under celebrated monster TV show 5/10/15, and review a graphic horror movie that’s sure to be a winner of an episode 5/20/15. So, be on the look out for those treats heading your way! And if you haven’t checked out our past interviews with horror comic artists and creators, then click HERE to visit our Graphic Headstone page!
