SCREAMING AT IN SEARCH OF DARKNESS PROMOS!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! We’ve been busier than Crystal Lake undertakers ’round here and for good reason! After we spent last week remindin’ ya’ll ’bout In Search of Darkness, the definitive documentary on ’80s horror, the fine folks behind this highly anticipated factoid flick hit us up with a butt load of sneak peeks and promoted us from sideline cheerleaders to official promoters! Yessir, armed with a bunch of stills and video snippets of interviews with some of horror’s hottest talents, we eagerly got to work preppin’ it for public consumption like only the web’s #1 animated horror hosts can.

Obviously, we aren’t the only online talent contacted for generatin’ buzz ’round this project, so we knew we needed to stand out from the other promoters throwin’ this stuff up on their YouTube channels. Most uploaded the videos the exact same way they were delivered to them, some added an openin’ message explainin’ the documentary to their fans, and others mix different promos together in the same post to hook viewers with a one-stop vid that saves them the trouble of huntin’ for everythin’. We decided to be more interactive than that, and with the filmmakers’ blessin’, hacked the promos up for our own animated presentation that’s in a league of its own.

With the final push for the documentary’s IndieGoGo campaign endin’ next week, we had to be quick on our feet and think of a comedic formula that merged the interview clips with our show in a way we could promote the documentary while havin’ good hearted fun at the interviewee’s expense. After hurlin’ heaps of spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, our first animated promos can be found below with us kickin’ our boots up to Jeffrey Combs and flippin hat over spurs for the beautiful Barbara Crampton. These will be followed by us hecklin’ more insightful conversations in the next day or so with Keith David, Joe Bob Briggs, and the Angry Video Game Nerd. SCREAMING AT NIGHTBEAST / CASTLEFREAK!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! As promised, we’re seein’ this fantasy fight through, censors be damned, and present the next epic chapter in this alien freak throwdown in the sky! Tensions continue to rise as toxic mutants continue testin’ Full Moon’s tolerance for their fragile truce, and it wouldn’t take much to tip everything back into full scale war with Deadwest and the gang caught in the middle! And if that weren’t enough trouble, just what the hell is Full Moon secretly workin’ on and who will pay the price?

As you can see, the Troma censorship continues to be a problem with them still not willin’ to “participate,” but don’t let that stop you from lettin’ your voice be heard. Some of you have made more videos requestin’ Troma allow us to play these non profit parody reviews uncensored, and some have even gone above and beyond, approachin’ them at conventions to vent about it. We were hesitant to post any contact info we had for Troma before, because we didn’t know how exclusive they were and didn’t want the headache of bein’ told we released any sensitive information, but we did find some publically posted emails on their official site you can reach them at. And if you haven’t heard, today’s a big day for Full Moon as well with the premier of their newest flick, Evil Bong 666! If you haven’t seen any of this series yet about stoners gettin’ into trippy adventures with a magically sassy she-bong, it’s pretty damn entertainin’ with new twists and turns each and every sequel. As you can see in our R-Rated Review of the first 5 parts, it’s a solid fun series full of topless chicks, monsters, interdimensional travel, cameos of other popular Full Moon characters, and this newest one is sure to be no exception with the return of Gingerdead Man, this week’s Howlin Hottie Mindy Robinson, and the introduction of an all new monster Full Moon’s been havin’ too much fun with, the Gingerweed Man! Some sad news to go out on, unfortunately. For a few months now, we’ve been pleasantly part of the Beta Max TV family who’ve been incredibly supportive of our show, but the channel has run into some serious technical problems and will no longer be streamin’. You can still warm up some Screaming Soup! leftovers, however, with reruns scheduled to play on Sluggo’s The Vortexx (after 9PM EST Sunday and Wednesday nights)!
