SCREAMING AT BLOOD DINER!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Ask and ye shall receive, partners! After a lot of hard but fun work, the episode you’ve been waitin’ for is here and firin’ on all pistons! Now, we’ll be honest, we feel our last episode reviewin’ Tusk could have been a little better. It got a little rushed toward the end to get it published within a month of the previous review and think it could have been funnier. That said, once we missed our monthly deadline for this episode, we didn’t sweat it as much and made the extra effort to make sure this review took full advantage of the humor and kicked the animation up a notch with the camerawork.

We’re also excited about this episode, ’cause if you scan the backgrounds you’ll see we plugged a bunch of our amigos in the horror community in addition to Homicidal Homemaker, Janet Decay, and Grimm Gorri’s special cameos. Yup, like a game of Where’s Waldo, you’ll find the Horror Addicts, our neighbors at Beta Max TV, Sluggo from The Vortexx, Bloodbath & Beyond, and more packed into the walls of the Howl-Inn! We’re thinkin’ we’ll maybe make this into a game so every horrorific entertainer you fans identify unlocks their Screaming Soup! cartoon versions to be enjoyed for whatever sick reasons you want them for.

Aside from all that, you’ll also see our gang’s made it back to the Howl-Inn Grub & Spirits in one piece, but a lot of things have changed thanks to the return of that voodoo hexin’ rooster, Papa Kaka. What he’s up to and how it inspires our review of Jackie Kong’s Blood Diner ’bout two yahoos cookin’ up a sacrificial meal for usherin’ a monstrous goddess back to their world, you’ll just have to watch and find out! On a side note, if you’re a fan of Blood Diner, then you gotta hunt you down a copy of the director’s other monster romp no one ever talks about, The Being, which is ’bout a small town debatin’ its pollution problem while a one-eye burrowin’ puddle mutant tears through people like a bad case of the runs that bite!

And real quick for you Super Scream Freaks, we finally got the bios written up for this season’s newest characters and added them all to our growin’ roster of beasts and ghouls. Everythin’ you wanna know ’bout the apocalyptic bikers or the spooks from the last episode is just a click away on our BIOS page.

Other than that, be sure to catch up on all past Screaming Soup! Seasons, check out this week’s Howl’n Hottie, read recent reviews for the newer horror films and comics we’re checkin’ out in our blogs, R-Rated Reviews and Sequential Slime, and help us get the word out about the web’s #1 animated horror host show! For all you fearmakers out there workin’ on your next scary feature, remember to shoot it our way as an entry in our Scream Freak Film Contest! Three winners will be reviewed in our 50th episode and promoted to all the Scream Freaks lookin’ for the next big thing Hollywood’s too scared to capitalize on. Deadline’s 8/20/18, so hurry!

SCREAMING AT ONE BIG EPISODE!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! This week, we think we finally gotta face facts and not be too hard on ourselves. For the first time in the history of our show, we might not get an episode out by our monthly deadline. How could somethin’ like this happen you ask? Well, most of you regular Scream Freaks who visit the site have kept up with our weekly work drama, but we’ll recap for the newbies.

When we first kicked off this animated rodeo, we were always a year ahead of what we were releasin’ to keep y’all fed with regular content on a monthly basis. While you were watchin’ episode 11, we were already animatin’ episode 21 while preparin’ the script and art for episode 31 at the same time. This routine of multitaskin’ worked liked clockwork for a talkin’ heads show with characters anchored to a table, but we got more ambitious over time and started lettin’ our ghoulish gang run wild through the Crosslands. Obviously, more action means  a lot more work animation-wise, and we dedicated many more hours designin’ and animatin’ new characters and places for them to wreak havoc in. Little bit at a time, this epic undertakin’ became more and more complicated and ate away at that year’s worth of cushion we had for any unforeseen circumstances and hiccups that might throw us behind schedule.

While our fanatic series of Bruce Campbell themed vids were the start of our schedule slips, that final fight in our Season Three finale took even more cushion away from us, and this past season with Full Moon Empire ate up the rest. Now, we’re animatin’ our episodes as we go and releasin’ them as soon as they’re done. To keep up the pace we’ve set for ourselves and meet the expectations we’ve given y’all, we’re spendin’ every second we can spare workin’ on Screaming Soup! and only want to produce a quality show that never fails to deliver comic book adventures, slapstick laughs, and insightful reviews of B-movies we think y’all should know about. It’s not like we’re paranoid y’all are gonna get riled up over this and bash us for bein’ late, but we just wanna let you know we’re always workin’ on the show and to bear with us. Never forget we’re folks doin’ this for no money while workin’ full time jobs and raisin’ families. So, the next episode with Homicidal Homemaker and the Mummy and the Monkey may be ridin’ in a little late, but we promise you it’s gonna be worth the wait, Scream Freaks!

To divert from all that melodrama, we want to thank Gori from the Horror Addicts for givin’ us this boner fan art below that now graces our fridge, and fellow horror hosts, The Angry Bros., for helpin’ scream the word around ’bout our show with an article spotlightin’ us as a true horror hostin’ gem everybody should check out. We appreciate it, partners, and encourage our fans to check out their article (HERE) as well as their YouTube channel (HERE). We also share our two cents on more horror comics that have come out recently in our Sequential Slime blog, and anyone who cares to hear us go voicebox to voicebox with a podcaster doin’ Sly Stallone impressions, be sure to visit our friends over at the Bearded Ones Podcast and give a listen at 8 minutes into their program. The judge is none other than our good buddy Jason Underwood who played Toxie this past season, and was the one who invited us to the showdown.

Other than that, be sure to catch up on all past Screaming Soup! SCREAMING AT QUICKIE UPDATES!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Sorry we didn’t drop ya a line last week, but things are hustlin’ and bustlin’ over here so fast, our bones are rattlin’ apart from all the excitement! That’s why we only got enough time to throw ya a few updates and get back to producin’ the web’s best kept animated secret!

The next episode is underway and lookin’ excellent. We’ll be seein’ what happened to the Howl-Inn Grub & Spirits since Papa Kaka took over which inspired us to whip up some spiffy new backgrounds for the Crossland’s favorite waterin’ hole that’s really pullin’ it together. What’s even more spooktacular are the guests who will be stoppin’ by, most notably our pal the Homicidal Homemaker and our Beta Max TV neighbors, Janet Decay and Grimm Gorri aka the Mummy and the Monkey! Both were more than happy to see themselves animated, and we’re flattered by their willingness to jump feet first into our cartoony chaos. If you need to freshen up on who these horrific talents are before then, check out Homicidal Homemaker’s YouTube channel HERE and Janet and Grimm’s YouTube channel HERE.

In the meantime, we’re writin’ the scripts for Screaming Soup! Season 7 right now, still on a wild goose chase for seein’ Death House, and think we got enough of an outline down for writin’ the first drafts of those Screaming Soup! comics we mentioned wantin’ to do in an earlier blog. We’re also makin’ plans for the next big voice recordin’ session for upcomin’ episodes of Screaming Soup! and had a crazy thought that might be somethin’ y’all would wanna see on our Twitch account? Just a wild hair of a thought, so let us know what you think.

On a side note, our buddy the Reaper or Mondoman from Your Final Answer/Mondopiece Theater/whatever really blew-up with his appearances this past week, so give him a look see and discover some other wacky channels after you watch his newest review of Maniac (not the good one with Tom Savini) on his YouTube channel.

SCREAMING AT THE CREEPY CHANNEL CRAWL AND HORRORTUBERS!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Hope you’re wide awake ’cause Saturday the 16th kicks off the much anticipated 24 hour marathon, the Creepy Channel Crawl! Yessir, in a nutshell for any newbies to the site, there was a recent shitstorm among small time YouTubers after the head honchos of YouTube announced they wouldn’t monetize or promote any videos or their associated channels without 1000+ subscribers and 4000 hours of views in the past year. Some folks bitched, others went about their business, and then there’s gangs like the Horror Addicts who decided to rally support for certain channels they wanted to champion with the upcomin’ Creepy Channel Crawl!

Beginnin’ at 9 PM EST, this live streamin’ party kicks off at the Horror Addicts’ YouTube channel, and then every hour the marathon switches to a different YouTuber’s channel with its own brand of horrific humor and wild guests lookin’ for support to keep up with the demands of the web’s go-to video site. 24 hours, 24 different channels with more reviewers and horror hosts than you can wave a angry mob torch at from around the world includin’ y’all’s truly as animated crossin’ guards directin’ viewers where to go at the top of each hour. All the details can be found at HorrorAddictsTV.com along with a helpful schedule that lets folks jump in at anytime with links to each channel.

You know, since the start of this whole #SmallYouTubeArmy thing, we’ve been made aware of a lot more horrortubers within our online community of like-minded sickos. Problem is though, a lot of them tend to blur together with most everyone followin’ the floatin’ head show formula with candid talks about whatever they wanna share with viewers. Now, we don’t think there’s anythin’ wrong with that, and some hosts have enough personality and wit that makes fans beg for more, but we usually look for content with a bit more pizzazz in its step which is why our show goes to such lengths to produce the kind of entertainment we offer. Here’s a few horrific talents that caught our eye you might consider checkin’ out.

The Interfearence. Very small channel with only a handful of vids, but this fella caught our attention with his green screen look and penchant for old school monster movie hostin’. Found him when lookin’ up others’ online support for Joe Bob Briggs bein’ brought to Shudder.

The Homicidal Homemaker. Hosted by Kaci Hansen, this cookin’ show is a top notch production with short easy to follow videos for whippin’ up sinfully delicious treats themed after popular horror movies. As a bonus, most her vids include pretty damn impressive skits featurin’ our favorite monsters!

The Fun Nun Horror Show. Creepy Pasta feelin’ kind of vids featurin’ a mix of a guy yammerin’ ’bout movies while cross dressin’ as a nun, and a puppet named Duncan spazzin’ out while watchin’ scenes from different horror flicks. It’s a little too erratic for us, and we’d need to see more before makin’ an official statement regardin’ its entertainment value, but we definitely appreciate how different it is!

Emily’s Adventures in HorrorLand. A horror reviewer from the United Kingdom, Emily has a lot going right for her vids from what we can see. Eye catchin’ video covers, insightful reviews, funny skits, and above all else, she looks like she’s havin’ a lot of fun which only escalates the viewer’s experience for the better!

The Mummy and the Monkey Show. This is classic horror hostin’ at its best resemblin’ a variety show with one of the funniest character themed pairin’s we’ve ever seen. Not only are these Cleveland superstars hostin’ vintage films, but they’re sharin’ footage from their visits to horror conventions, performin’ comedy sketches, promotin’ their antique store, and even playin’ cartoons of their zany adventures.

Again, we encourage you to give these channels a look and drop in anytime durin’ the marathon to say howdy to the participatin’ channels. They’ve been workin’ really hard to prepare for this event, and we’re sure it’s gonna be somethin’ to remember!

Other than that, be sure to catch up on all past Screaming Soup! SCREAMING AT GHOULS’ NIGHT OUT!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! We’ve got quite a treat planned for you this week as the dark cosmos aligns and brings together 3 of horror entertainment’s favorite gals. Streamin’ LIVE this Saturday night (7/15/17) at 8pm PST on the Horror Addicts’ YouTube channel (click HERE to book mark it), hostess Gory B. Movie invites the Homicidal Homemaker and our very own ghost girlfriend Mandy to cook up trouble and discuss our shows while drinkin’ some deadly concoctions.

For those unfamiliar with these gore gore girls, Horror Addicts is a family themed show created by Gory and her husband Danny Knightmare. No strangers to the horror community, they network with a lot of today’s online talents, includin’ yours truly with a guest appearance in our episode Deadwest Screams at Frankenhooker! and even guest hosted a review on Bloodbath & Beyond’s YouTube channel. Their vids normally range from movie reviews to unboxin’s, and of course, Ghouls’ Night Out which features an impressive roster of women who know their Frankensteins from their Frankenstein’s monsters. With past guests on Ghouls’ Night Out includin’ Spooky Astronaut, Lady Hellbat of The Batcave, and Horrorgal, we’re proud to be counted among such frightful fun.

Sharin’ the night with Mandy will be Kaci Hansen, another horror hostess better known as the Homicidal Homemaker. But rather than review trashy movies, she serves up appetizin’ dishes inspired by them in a horror themed cookin’ show! Whether it’s Halloween or a poltergeist party, the Homicidal Homemaker offers several easy to follow recipes that make for some screamin’ displays of culinary goodness. She’ll teach you to mix a Twin Peaks cocktail, make bloody custard ears from Dead Alive, or whip up some macaroni brain salad to satisfy your horrendous hunger.  Even if your not a cook lookin’ for new ideas in the kitchen, Homemaker kicks up her show’s entertainment value with impressive parody skits (our favorite is the pool party) along with additional unboxin’ vids and food reviews. You can check out her YouTube channel HERE. Rumor has it the girls are askin’ Homemaker to think up some new poison for them to drink Saturday night, and it’s sure to be sinfully sweet.

As for our favorite ghostly girlfriend, Mandy will be takin’ a break from the disastrous war that’s been upsettin’ things around here and kickin’ back at the Howl-Inn for this shin-dig. She’ll be talkin’ about Screaming Soup! teamin’ up with Full Moon, tease at things to come in our next episode on 7/20/17, and may even share a picture that helps you freaks see who’s fillin’ that dress! You should also know this live stream will have a chat room for fans to talk to each other and the girls. So, any burnin’ questions you have can be answered on air or in the chat room by Mandy. Other members of Screaming Soup! will be in the chat room on and off durin’ the stream if you wanna ask them any questions.

Please use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site and follow our tweets, subscribe to our YouTube channel, like our Facebook, watch and share all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming.

Warm up some Screaming Soup! leftovers with reruns scheduled to play on Sluggo’s The Vortexx (after 9PM EST Sunday and Wednesday nights)!

If you need the hook-up with instant Troma and Full Moon movies, we’d suggest watching Troma’s films for free on their Youtube channel, and you can get full access to Full Moon’s catalog of work from their movies to their Videozone clips at Full Moon Streaming and their Amazon channel.

See ya later, Scream Freaks!
