Howdy there, Scream Freaks, and hope you had a Memorial Day weekend full of skin blisterin’ sun, scary fun, and monster movies! We just wanted to remind you this week about our next scheduled convention appearance at ConCarolina, a 3 day event this comin’ weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina, packed with parties, gamin’, film festivals, dealer rooms, and an ass load of panels coverin’ a broad number of interests from popular shows to how they’re gonna put a man on mars.
While we haven’t gotten our act together enough to pull off the ultimate Screaming Soup! convention booth for creatin’ an unforgettable experience for fans, we have been turned on to makin’ people more aware of our show through panel discussions. In this case, we’ll be makin’ some panel appearances for one day only, Saturday June 3, and accordin’ to ConCarolina’s SCHEDULE, these include shootin’ the shit on the best and worst horror tropes in “From Zombies to Dolls to House to Clowns” (1pm-2pm), Stranger Things and how retro horror is shaping television and movies in “Stranger Things and the Resurgence of Retro” (7:30pm-8:30pm), and sharin’ our picks for the best zombie flicks in “Dead, But Not Buried: Zombie Films Worth Watching” (11pm-12am). Pretty wide open subjects we’re sure will allow us to bring up every shitty sci-fi/horror flick we’ve had the displeasure of watchin’ like Oversexed Rugsuckers From Mars, and newer descent flicks like Train to Busan!
If you come out, give us a scream, and we’ll be more than happy to freely sign epitaphs on whatever you got.
Other than that, be sure to catch up on all past Screaming Soup! Seasons, check out this week’s Howl’n Hottie, read recent reviews for the newer horror films and comics we’re checkin’ out in our blogs, R-Rated Reviews and Sequential Slime, and help us get the word out about the web’s #1 animated horror host show! Please use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site and follow our tweets, subscribe to our YouTube channel, like our Facebook, watch and share all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming.
Warm up some Screaming Soup! leftovers with reruns scheduled to play on Sluggo’s The Vortexx (after 9PM EST Sunday and Wednesday nights)!
If you need the hook-up with instant Troma and Full Moon movies, we’d suggest watching Troma’s films for free on their Youtube channel, and you can get full access to Full Moon’s catalog of work from their movies to their Videozone clips at Full Moon Streaming and their Amazon channel.
See ya later, Scream Freaks!
