SCREAMING AT VOICE ACTORS!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! As always, things have been hectic around here as we continue our never ending efforts to bring you entertaining reviews of some of the most outrageous horror/sci-fi movies this side of the grave for your viewing pleasure. Lately, we’ve realized our show has been growing at a fast pace and have been reaching out to talents in the horror community for help. This mostly has to do with needing more voice talent for our expanding cast, and plenty of people have been quick to respond already. What’s better than being the voice of a cartoon character? Now, if you or anyone you know is interested in providing voices for future episodes of Screaming Soup! just hit us up at screamingsoup@gmail.com (preferably with a demo reel with all the different voices you can do for us to consider). Given you may be half way across the world from us or in another dimension, you will more than likely need access to your own recording equipment if we were to use you. And most importantly (or sadly), this would be pro bono work. With our show still up and coming, the best compensation we can offer you is a credit to add to your resume of work for future gigs that will hopefully be well paying jobs.

We’ve also been contacted by other horror shows out there who requested doing cameos with us which we’re down for as long as we can work it into our production schedule. One such show we’ve had a lot of fun talking with is “Your Final Answer with the Grim Reaper.” This guy’s got a lot of energy and enthusiasm for what he does, and certainly has talent we’re happy he’s lending to upcoming episodes of Screaming Soup! Be sure to support him through Youtube and Twitter.

Other than that, we should have an all new Re-Animated Review up and running within 2 weeks, and are currently working on the final drafts of some new Screaming Soup! Holiday Eeeh!-Cards for those needing some unique cards for birthdays and Valentine’s. These macabre messages for friends and loved ones should be up and available by next week.

SCREAMING AT MONSTER HIGH!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks, and welcome to Screaming Soup! Season 2! To kick off this monumental shindig, we bring you an obscure blast from the past, “Monster High.” Chock full of monsters and critters, this low budget high school horror has it all . . . it’s just poorly presented! Join us for a couple of cold ones while we rate this film with some minor distractions from around the Howl-Inn Grub and Spirits. Be sure to share our latest video far and wide to help grow the Scream Freak army, and new stills from the episode have been added to the site’s gallery if you’re interested.

In other news, we’ve got some more Screaming Soup! Presents vids on the way and some new Screaming Soup! Eeeh!-Cards in the works for lover’s hot and humid holiday next month. Nothing says, “I love you,” better than a Screaming Soup! Valentine’s Day Eeeh!-Card!

SCREAMING AT FINAL COUNTDOWN TO SEASON 2!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Thanks for checking back in at the web’s #1 animated horror host site where B-sci-fi/horror movies are a way of life. Lots of last minute preparations still going on as we make mad runs around the Howl-Inn making sure we’ve got all new stuff in order for this upcoming year. We’re preparing a heavy review on a popular horror comic series, eating tons of cereal with viewings of new monster toons we’ll be discussing, drawing up some new holiday Eeeh!-Cards, and cutting together new music vids to re-examine updated horror classics and honor scary stars.

Next week is the big premier of Screaming Soup! Season 2 on 1/20/15, and this first episode is a great review of a lesser known film that’ll coincide with the youngster’s dreary return to school after the holiday break. I don’t want to say too much but you can expect to see Eb’nstein and Aleena joining in and keeping everything charged with laughter.

As a reminder, be sure to use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site. Follow our tweets, subscribe to our Youtube channel, like our Facebook, watch all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming. I’ll see ya’ later Scream Freaks!

SCREAMING AT BRUCE CAMPBELL TAKING IT IN THE FACE!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! Only 11 more days until the premier of Screaming Soup! Season 2, and we couldn’t be more excited! In fact, we’re so charged we’ve already prepared some more Screaming Soup! Presents vids poking fun at something we’ve laughed at for a long time at the Howl-Inn. Ever notice how many of Bruce Campbell’s films somehow involve him taking a big bloody gore splat to the face, sometimes with his mouth wide open? We thought it would be fun to highlight some of the Once and Future B-Movie King’s more memorable moments in cinema with a humorous dirty twist.

We’re keeping it short this week, but enjoy these fresh new vids “Screaming Soup! Presents Bruce Campbell Takes It In The Face.”

SCREAMING AT 2015!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks, and welcome to 2015! Our initial castoff year has ended, and a new season of the web’s #1 animated horror host site is about to begin. That’s right, this season will be twice the action, twice the laughs, and twice the sci-fi/horror as we review even more movies we think you should either check out or avoid at all costs! There’s also going to be a lot more extra videos every month for Re-Animated Reviews, Horror Do’s and Don’ts, Re-make R-mix, and Screaming Soup! Tribute so mark your calendars for 1/20/15 to kick it all off with Deadwest and Eb’nstein co-hosting a horrific back to school classic.

SCREAMING AT CHRISTMAS 2014!

Howdy, Scream Freaks and Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate! Whether it’s Hanukkah, Kwanza, or a Festivus you’re happy about this holiday season, we can all agree this is a time for giving (but we sure love the gett’n too!). That’s why we’re excited to give you fans an early gift for your peepers and present you with a sneak peek at Screaming Soup! Season 2! Yessiry, Bob. We promise to continue the laughs with one more rodeo full of 10 new reviews that’ll introduce new exciting characters from the Crosslands and story archs that shakes up the formula the show’s developed in the first season.

With it being Christmas and all, I just wanted to share a quick list of Christmas themed horror movies you might be interested in seeing if you’re trying to compile a list of naughty video pleasures. Santa’s Slay (WCW Goldberg plays a crazed Santa killing Jews), Jack Frost 1-2 (mutant snowman terrorizes a sheriff and his town), Black Christmas original and re-make (I’d recommend the re-make), Silent Night Bloody Night (bunch of crazies in a house with almost nothing to do with Christmas), Christmas Evil (great quirky film with one bizarre ending involving the killer Santa flying away in a van), Elves (Grizzly Adams VS a Nazi experiment full of Santa’s minions), Santa Clause Conquers the Martians (says it all doesn’t it?), Don’t Open Till Christmas (a European film of a sicko killing Santas on every street corner), Maniac Cop 2 (action/horror film set during Yuletide and features a Bruce Campbell death!), Gremlins (a critter spawns other critters and one boy is to blame), A Cadaver Christmas (a janitor battles the undead in this homage to grindhouse films), Night of the Krampus (the only Krampus movie I’ve seen for sale but haven’t watched yet), Saint (killer Santa film based more on the lore of ole’ St. Nick), Ghostbusters 2 (okay, so Christmas is more of a brief background in this lackluster sequel but so what?!), and of course Silent Night Deadly Night 1-5 plus the re-make, Silent Night, which could really just be SNDN 6 (1-3 plus the re-make are killer Santa flicks, 4 is about witches, and 5 showcases an evil Pinocchio). I traditionally like to save the original Silent Night Deadly Night for Christmas Eve night.

And this is your last chance to share a Merry Krampus with friends and loved ones who need something a little different from all the snowmen and Thomas Kinkade cards that’s been flooding their mailboxes. Just visit the page HERE and share this original Eeeh-Card! via Facebook or Twitter! It’ll sure to be the most memorable card they EVER receive!

As a reminder, be sure to use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site. Follow our tweets, subscribe to our Youtube channel, watch all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming.

We hope you have a safe holly jolly time this year with spiked eggnog and scantily clad sugar plum fairies dirty dancing around your swollen heads. May your hearts pump full of cheer and your wallets recover. From our freaky gang to yours, Merry Christmas Scream Freaks!

SCREAMING AT DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY WIZARD, JEFFERY SCOTT!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! If you’re like me this holiday season, you probably waited till the last damn minute to round up the most important gifts for Christmas. Instead of peacefully sipping spiked eggnog in your ugly Christmas sweater, you’re fighting tooth and nail in a hectic rat race of congested traffic, impatient check-out lines, and elbow throwing clerks fed up with it all. The greatest gift I can get this year is for Christmas to be over already!

Speaking of gifts, I’ve rounded up another special interview for you in our new Graphic Headstone Blog, and I think you’ll be pleased! This week I interview the multi-talented Jeffery Scott who’s a genuine Renaissance man in a digital age. Jeffery tells us all about his travels, artistic dips into filmmaking and the toy industry, and how he meticulously produces each one of his amazing digital photo masterpieces which I’d recommend for Christmas gifts. Read our conversation HERE.

Now, let me take a moment and shamelessly plug our merch we have for sale on the site and remind you we have plenty of Screaming Soup! t-shirts, magnets, buttons, and posters for you to choose from to celebrate fandom for the web’s #1 animated horror site and its characters. We work hard to bring you fun horror-related entertainment and hope these can help spread the word to new audiences we’re always trying to reach.

With Christmas coming so quickly, don’t forget to share our Screaming Soup! Merry Krampus Eeeh!-Card with your friends and family for a stiff chuckle that’s sure to be talked about more than that stupid photo collage Christmas card your aunt mailed out with yearly updates on everyone under her roof. Let this Merry Krampus message express your extended middle finger to that bullshit.

As a reminder, be sure to check back here Christmas Eve for a special video gift that’ll give you an idea of what to expect in season 2, and use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site. Follow our tweets, subscribe to our Youtube channel, watch all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming. See ya later, Scream Freaks!

SCREAMING AT A MERRY KRAMPUS!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! The temperature’s dropping, people’s home’s are becoming Vegas eye sores, and everyone’s radio’s looping the same old songs over and over again . . .Yup. It’s Christmas. The most annoying time of the year. Happy Elves. Happy Children. Happy Santas and Snowmen. Ugh. It’s like bein’ smothered under a warm blanket of smiles. Which is why I was so thrilled to have learned about the Krampus. A creature of lore that brings some real excitement and jeopardy to the holidays other than Santa completing his route. Yessir, I’m not sure where Krampus has been all this time since he’s from the old country, but more and more people are bringing him to the forefront of the Yuletide season like a black sheep of holiday mascots. The last few years he’s had his own comic book, independent movie (“Night of the Krampus”), and has even popped up on episodes of Venture Bros., Family Guy, Scooby-Doo. This keeps up, he’ll be a permanent shadow to Saint Nick and give all the naughty children a punishment worse than coal in their stockings!

To celebrate Krampus, we added a new Screaming Soup! Merry Krampus Eeeh!-Card to the site’s Extra section. Spread the joy of punishing brats this Christmas, and share the hottest Christmas card that’ll be sure to have your friends and family talking! When’s the last time anyone wanted to discuss your relative’s card of their dogs in ugly sweaters?

In other news, we’re still working hard to bring you a packed 2nd season full of funny reviews and treats with a special gift for you Scream Freaks planned for Christmas Eve. We’re currently preparing the latest entry to our new Graphic Headstone Blog which we’re excited about, and looking forward to producing an online comic we’ve been developing in our spare time.

SCREAMING AT COMIC WRITER VAN JENSEN!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! You remember that scene in Disney’s Pinocchio when he told a lie and staked some blood thirsty vampires with his phallic nose? No? But you gotta admit, it sounds pretty cool, right? Well, thanks to writer Van Jensen and artist Dusty Higgins, we twisted horror obsessed weirdoes get to enjoy such perverse entertainment through their unique take on a classic tale, Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer!

pvs%202

We came face to face with Van Jensen himself in the Crosslands and it was a real treat. He gives the skinny low down on how this Buffy meets a wooden boy mish mash came to see the light of day and provides some insight to the literary side of the comic biz with his current stint writing Green Lantern Corps and The Flash for DC Comics! Fairy tales, monsters, and super heroes? What can’t this guy write? Click HERE to read our interview in our Graphic Headstone Blog!

As for other updates, we’re continuing to gear up for our newest season of Screaming Soup! and working on more of the secondary videos during the holiday break. Look forward to more Screaming Soup! Presents, Re-Animated Reviews, and a special Graphic Violence that will review the Army of Darkness comics in time for the new Evil Dead TV show coming to Starz in 2015 starring the king himself, Bruce Campbell! In the meantime, we’re reaching out to more creative minds we think you might enjoy us interviewing and will do our best to keep that up through the break.

SCREAMING AT TURDUCKEN DAY & COMIC ARTIST, GREGBO WATSON!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! and Happy Turducken Day! That’s right, it’s time to put some fat on our bones to keep warm this winter and be thankful we’re not face down in a ditch yet (and then there’s that touchy feely family gibberish that includes pilgrims and Indians or whatever). We hope all of you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving this year and don’t forget to pacify badgering friends and relatives you’d rather not see with our Screaming Soup! Thanksgiving Eeeh!-Card which reminds you to pass the Turducken!

On another note, I bring you a special Thanksgiving treat with a new Graphic Headstone blog featuring a cool comic Aaah!rtist named Gregbo Watson. Gregbo’s made some splash with his work on a dark Alice in Wonderland mini-series called “Down the Rabbit Hole” from Zenescope Comics and has been gaining some wide recognition since! Check out our interview and get some unique insight to the life of a successful illustrator living his passion every day.

Other than sharing our new Thanksgiving Eeeh!-Card located in our Extra section, be sure to follow our tweets, subscribe to our Youtube channel and watch all our vids, and keep that fan mail coming. See ya later, Scream Freaks!
