SCREAMING AT WINNING A RONDO!

Howdy there, Scream Freaks! What has two thumbs and just won themselves a Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award? Screaming Soup! Presents the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Retrospective, that’s what!

Yee-haw! We did it!! After all these years, we finally snagged ourselves one of the toughest, most sought after awards in the horror community, and it’s all thanks to y’all. Seriously — without yer votes and help wranglin’ in others’ support, there’s no way we could have taken home the award fer Best Documentary of 2023!

This recognition means more to us than we can express. With Svengoolie practically dominatin’ the Favorite Horror Host category since the Rondo’s earliest days, we had to get creative with other ways fer obtainin’ one of these coveted busts of undeniable achievement, and we still can’t believe it paid off. Skewin’ our sights fer horror host gold toward other categories we could be represented in, we felt we had a fightin’ chance in Best Documentary with our be-all end-all retrospective on the Killer Tomatoes franchise, and that gut instinct luckily proved to be more than just ingestion.

While it ain’t specifically “the” Rondo fer horror hostin’, we still see it as a horror host win, ’cause the documentary’s presented in that format with us front and center through the whole shebang, animated shenanigans and all. Yessir, whatever shade of gray ya paint it, no one can deny we’re in the club now, and we’re proudly checkin’ this sucker off our bucket list!

Shout out to all our amigos and their Rondo achievements this year — Mr. Lobo and Mummy and the Monkey’s Honorable Mention fer Favorite Horror Host, Dinosaur Dracula’s Honorable Mention fer Best Website, Jessica Dwyer’s Honorable Mention fer Best Interview, and Movie Dumpster’s Runner-up fer Best Podcast. Congrats, partners!

Aside from all the latest awards, big stuff has been happenin’ behind the scenes as we steadily bring our next episode together. While animatin’ a noodle ticklin’ encounter with the mummy as Count Ted‘s next monstrous addition to his gang, we’ve been workin’ with a fang-tastic journalist wantin’ to feature Screaming Soup! in an upcomin’ issue of Lost Anarchy Magazine (more on that soon) and dippin’ our toes into the adult collectibles market as freelance concept artists fer an up and coming company specializing in the manufacturing of pop culture related collectibles. So, busy in the best way as usual, and we’ll have lots more to share on those updates in future posts as they ‘come further ‘long in their progress.

Other than that, please show your support for our show with donations through Patreon, Buy Me A Coffee, and Ko-fi, purchase exclusive merch, catch up on all past Screaming Soup! Seasons, check out this week’s Howl’n Hottie, read recent bite-size reviews for the newer horror films we’re checkin’ out in our blog R-Rated Reviews, and help us get the word out about the web’s #1 animated horror host show! Please use our social buttons in the upper right corner of the site and follow our tweets (are they still called that?), subscribe to our video channels, like our Facebook, watch and share all our vids, and keep that fan mail comin’. You can also warm up some Screaming Soup! leftovers with reruns currently playin’ on Beta Max TV, Sluggo’s The Vortexx, and Mr. Lobo‘s OSI 74 .

See ya later, Scream Freaks!
